As difficult as it is for us to believe, there are people who might want to enjoy the Ozarks without a fishing pole. Here is a sampling of local sights and activities that can be enjoyed in a day or less.

Mountain Home is the county seat and serves an area of approximately 60,000 people. Movie theatres, bowling alleys, shopping and dining can all be found here, 11 miles from our resort.

 

Downtown Cotter & Big Spring Park

A former railroad town, Cotter attracts visitors downtown with its antique shops and city park. There is public access to the river, walking trails, a swimming hole and playground at the bottom of the Ruthven Bridge. www.cotterarkansas.com

The Pigeon Creek Trail System
