Why Hire a Guide?

Guided Float trips are a long-time tradition
here in the Ozarks.

Guided fishing trips are a great way to experience trout fishing and the beauty of the White River in the most positive way. Add in a Rim Shoals shore lunch of catfish, served hot with hushpuppies, and fried potatoes and you’ll agree, everybody should do it at least once in their lifetime. Now, you just have to decide if your fly casting or spin casting.

You're new to the White River and /or Trout Fishing

A guided trip, even half-day, is a great way to become familiar with the White and will only add to the enjoyment of your vacation. You can learn more about the river in one day with a professional guide, than you will fishing on your own for a month.

You want to enjoy fishing with my family and friends.

A guide will pamper the uninitiated, allowing you to enjoy yourself, rather than playing host. And there is enough action on the water to keep even our MTV generation entertained.

You want to catch a lunker.

Hey, anybody can catch 2-3 lb trout, that’s called being in the right place at the right time. When you request to fish big, your guide will take you to spots less populated by stockers, reducing the overall number of fish you may catch on your trip. In addition to location, approach, and tackle, the guide does make a difference. So be sure to let us know you’re looking for a lunker.

You’ve heard it’s a lot of fun.

Guided trips relieve you from the stress of catching fish. Yes, fishing can be stressful! You have to navigate shoals, figure out where the fish are and what they are biting. On a guided trip, it’s not your problem! Sit back, relax with your friends, enjoy the scenery and let your guide do his job.
