Fly Casting Lessons

Henry Seay has been fly fishing for 54 years.  His method of fly casting is pretty straight forward: lift the fly off the water, point the rod at the target and cast the fly. Great things happen when you allow your fly rod to work as it's designed. Fling, toss, throw, or launch your fly and terrible things can happen. Learning the proper presentation of a fly to gain the desired results is what it's all about.

Here's what you will learn from Henry:

  • Several casts to get you through different situations.
  • Accurate and safe casting. (Clients must wear eye protection, sunglasses are ok)
  • Simple knots that will serve you well.
  • Making the correct presentation.

Lessons must be scheduled. Please call for availability.  Ladies welcome.

The equipment used is yours to keep: 4 piece fly rod with a no-fault lifetime warranty, a quality disc drag fly reel,  Rio Grand 5 weight fly line,  backing line, tapered leader, a selection of trout flies.
